This year hasn't been easy, John.

We've had to fight hard for our democracy, our Colorado values, and for hardworking families across the country. With so much happening in Congress, it is sometimes hard to find the time to slow down and think about the things that matter.

So today I decided to sit down and make a list of all the things in my life that I am grateful for. Specifically, this is a list of the people (and furry friends!) that keep me motivated to carry on the fight:

- My husband and our children, I don't know where I would be without their love and their support.

- My granddogs Hank and Sadie, who make me smile.

- My amazing team and their dedication to keeping Colorado moving forward.

- The countless people who have worked so hard every day throughout this pandemic to keep us safe. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every nurse, doctor, EMT, paramedic, scientist, and volunteer for taking care of all of us and constantly putting our safety above their own. Thanks to their dedication, we can finally gather in person with our loved ones again this Thanksgiving.

- Finally, I am thankful for you. For every cause you've supported and every dollar you've donated. Your ongoing support has allowed me to keep fighting in Congress every day.

Tomorrow on Thanksgiving, I urge all of you to spend time with the people you love and remember everything around us that makes the world a better place.
