This is going to be our last email for the week, so that our team and our supporters are able to focus on their loved ones this Thanksgiving. But before you log off, please read through the end of this email.
I sincerely hope you are able to take some time to rest, show gratitude, and stay safe throughout this holiday season. The past year has introduced new challenges, but also new solutions to the problems of years past.
Families are not only getting vaccinated, but also getting booster shots. A Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill has been passed, with much needed funding finally coming for our communities, transportation systems, and broadband infrastructure. And after seemingly endless negotiating, the Build Back Better bill passed the House, which would expand the Child Tax Credit, fund universal pre-K, and provide the largest investment in affordable housing ever.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s still work to do. We still need the Senate to pass the Build Back Better bill. And our fight to pass progressive policies in Congress are still in full swing.
But this week, take the time you can to log off. I promise that I will be carrying our fights forward every day. And my team will get back to letting you know how you can support our movement on Monday.
