My re-election is shaping up to be one of the toughest races in 2022. Right wing funders and the Trump-Republican fringe are going to fight hard—and spend millions—to put a radical extremist in the seat we gave our all to win in 2018.

But I’m not scared. I’m grateful.

Why? Because you are on our team, friend. We won in 2018 because of thousands of friends, neighbors, and allies like you who shared our vision of a Washington with high quality, affordable health coverage; with easier access to education and opportunity; investments in roads and bridges, parks and food pantries; and, an economy that works for all of us—not just the richest and best connected, who can bend the rules to serve themselves.

I’m proud of all that our team has accomplished over the last three years—expanding health coverage, passing the country’s strongest financial aid policy, investing in the Warren Avenue Playfield and Gig Harbor Phish Foodbank, the Mustard Seed Project and sewer infrastructure in Port Orchard, funding the Working Families Tax Credit and a game-changing child care & early learning policy—but we have so much more to do.

With you on team, friend, I’m ready to work even harder for the next 4 years to invest in middle and working class families, to turn our upside down tax code right side up, and to make sure that our region gets the transportation infrastructure investments we need and deserve.
I have to stop raising money on December 10th — when “the freeze” requires legislators to shift our focus to policy work. That’s only 16 more days.
To stay on track, we need to raise $5,743 by Sunday.
