Details on our monthly General Meeting, 12PM this Saturday, November 27th
This is just a reminder that our monthly General Meeting will be this Saturday, November 27th at 12PM! This month we’ll:
Hear updates from our various organizing efforts, including a presentation from the Right To Counselcampaign,
Vote on potentially making our first-ever candidate recommendations, for Susan Hutson (Sheriff) and Troy Glover (City Council, District D)
Learn how you can pitch in to the Save Our Libraries campaign to prevent library closures and fund our public libraries for the next 20 years,
and a bunch more!
The General Meeting is our largest regular gathering of members, and our Chapter's highest decision-making body, so if you can only make one meeting a month, make it this one! Register for the call here.
To ensure all our decisions are being made democratically, our bylaws require a quorum of 10% of membership to be present for the General Meeting to hold votes. We know lots of folks will be travelling or busy with the holidays this month, so ifyoucan't make it this Saturday, please request a proxy by emailing [email protected]! A proxy is a member designated to vote in your place at the meeting- when requesting a proxy, you can either name another member as your proxy, or if you don't have anybody in mind, just let us know and we can match you with someone!

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].
Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
