Friend,
With Thanksgiving tomorrow, I wanted to
extend a Happy Thanksgiving from the Schimpf family to
yours.
In 2005, I ate Thanksgiving Dinner at a Forward
Operating Base in the Sunni Triangle in Iraq while waiting to
transport Saddam Trial witnesses back to the Green Zone in Baghdad.
That memory reminds me of two things this Thanksgiving.
First, no matter what challenges our country
faces, we are incredibly blessed when compared to other nations. We
truly do have an enormous amount to be thankful for as citizens of the
world’s true beacon of freedom. Second, our holiday can only occur
because of the service members and first responders who are standing
watch while we celebrate. Please keep all of them in your prayers.
Lori, the boys, and I all wish you a happy,
blessed, and peaceful Thanksgiving.
S/F,
Paul
Schimpf

In the
News
I joined Wirepoints for a press conference on the
critically important pension crisis in our state. I point out the
failures under JB Pritzker and the state Democrats and offer solutions
that can get our state's pension system back on track.
Watch
the full conference here. Skip to 26:00 to hear my
part.
