John,
As the final COP26 agreement passed recently, co-leader Adrian Ramsay warned that it fails to get us on track to 1.5C, the primary aim of the summit, and that it 'is woefully short on providing support to the Global South, protecting future generations or safeguarding the natural world'.
While the deal acknowledges the central role of fossil fuels, it still fails to deliver real commitment for climate justice.
Despite the disappointment and frustration at the weak COP26 outcome, as Greens we know we can strengthen the deal and push for action while the UK holds the presidency for another year.
At the very least, we need a climate crisis cabinet that can deliver action for the climate.
With more Green experts in the room, a climate conference like have a deliverable plan to reach 1.5C. By supporting our campaigning work, we can get more Greens elected together. Can you help us?
