Lake Mead’s water level has hit a historic low, and Nevada’s agricultural industry, economy, and our livelihoods are at risk if we don’t prioritize water security. Thankfully, Susie Lee stepped up and introduced the ‘Large Scale Water Recycling Project Investment Act' as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal that President Biden recently signed.

Here’s why Susie’s legislation on water security matters:

• Nevadans will net $403 million (!!) to improve water infrastructure
• Water sources will be retrofitted in response to the threat of climate change
• Nevada’s economy will feel relief from the pressure of the water shortage

Thanks to Susie’s leadership in the House, Americans across seventeen western states — including Nevada — will benefit from this legislation that goes miles to preserve the health of our water sources.

Moving forward, Susie Lee knows that there’s more work to be done as climate change continues to shape our livelihoods. This is why she’s committed to working alongside her colleagues to protect water infrastructure for future generations.
