Friend,

As we approach Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share how thankful I am for each and every one of you. I'm so heartened by your commitment to building a better future, friend – and this commitment fuels my fire every single day.

But I know this Thanksgiving comes on the heels of another difficult year. The COVID-19 pandemic isn't over, and I've heard from so many families still struggling with its fallout – on top of natural disasters like Hurricane Ida, which tore through our community.

That's why I wanted to reach out with an opportunity to give back (if you're able). During a time that might be especially tough for folks in our community, it couldn't be more important for us to come together and support one another.

Here are a few ways to get involved this Thanksgiving:

If you're financially able, please consider making a donation to the Chester County Food Bank or Helping Harvest in Berks County. I know that any amount will make a big difference in their work distributing food to people in need. Click here to donate to the Chester County Food Bank

If you have time, Chester County Food Bank and Helping Harvest in Berks County are always accepting volunteers to help pack food boxes. This is such a simple activity, but it's something that truly makes a difference. If you have just a little bit of time on your hands, please consider volunteering with the Chester County Food Bank

or Helping Harvest in Berks County.

And finally, if you or someone you know needs food right now, click here to find your local food bank and get access to the resources you need right in your neighborhood.

Thank you, friend. Nothing warms my heart like seeing my neighbors lend a helping hand to one another, and I'm so grateful for you.

P.S. Here's a photo of my daughter and me volunteering at the Chester County Food Bank last year!
