Dear John,

As we head into the holiday season, we want to celebrate the good things in life, and keep gratitude front and center. This year, one of the top things we're grateful for is the Build Back Better Act finally passing the House! If you haven't already, please email your U.S. Representative, and send them a quick thank you for voting yes on the Build Back Better Act. It only takes a minute using our online form. Let's spread the gratitude around this holiday season, and let our elected officials know that we want them to keep supporting climate action!

Thank you,

Francesca Varela
Communications Coordinator, OLCV

Hey John,

I have some great news to share--the Build Back Better Act passed the U.S. House early this morning!

And, not only that, but all of Oregon’s Democratic U.S. Representatives voted yes--including Rep. Schrader. Send a quick email to your U.S. Representative and thank them for voting YES on the Build Back Better Act!

This once-in-a-generation opportunity for climate action will put the U.S. on track to create millions of good-paying jobs in clean energy, while saving families hundreds of dollars a year on energy bills, and investing directly in low-income communities and communities of color. The Build Back Better Act will put us on track to cut our country’s greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, which is what scientists say we need in order to address the climate crisis. Please send a quick thank you to your U.S. Representative for voting yes on the Build Back Better Act!

We also owe a thank you to all of you--the environmental activists who have been working tirelessly to pass the Build Back Better Act; those who wrote LTE’s and op-eds, made phone calls, sent emails, posted on social media, and more. Thanks to you, we’re a step closer to passing the strongest climate action plan in U.S. history.

Please make sure to send your U.S. Representative a thank you email, and then stand by for the Senate vote! We’re almost there.

Thank you for your activism,

Lindsey Scholten
Deputy Director, OLCV
