Here’s the deal: the end of our first fundraising reporting period is December 31st, which is just a little over a month away.
This first reporting period is critical, because like it or not, (and I don’t like that campaigns aren’t yet publicly funded, but I digress) the amount you’ve all donated and invested will demonstrate the strength of our campaign to voters and organizations from whom we will seek additional endorsements or funding.
In other words, the saying is true: “it takes money to make money.” And it takes money to win a campaign.
