John,
President Biden has pledged to tackle the climate crisis head-on. And he’s directing his administration to do just that.
Right now, the Federal Register is holding an official comment period on President Biden’s proposed rule to take climate impact into account when spending federal dollars. This would apply to the Department of Defense, the General Services Administration, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration―ensuring that federal purchasing goes toward greener buildings and materials, lower- and zero-emission vehicles, and other more sustainable purchases.

TAKE ACTION
Suppliers who’d rather pollute than innovate will be mobilizing against this rule. Already, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the American Petroleum Institute and other Big Business associations that put profits ahead of our people and our environment are opposing attempts by the Biden administration to cut emissions that are endangering the planet.1
It’s critical that the Federal Register receive thousands of comments from us, the people, to counter the efforts of Big Business and Big Oil, which are attempting to kill the rule. Click here to submit your comment today.
Since federal purchasing is enough to move markets, it can provide the needed boost we need to transition the U.S. to a clean energy economy and incentivize the private sector to move in a more sustainable direction.

Thank you for fighting for a green future that includes all of us.
