Dear John,

This month is Sister District’s 5-year anniversary! We’re thankful for the entire Sister District community each and every day, but this week we’d like to take a moment to celebrate 5 things in particular.

1. First and foremost, our incredible volunteers. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or attended your first phonebank in 2021, you are the lifeblood of Sister District. This year, we contacted more than 225,000 voters by phone – a record-breaking average of 70.5% of each campaign’s total dials. That’s all thanks to your hard work!
2. Our brilliant candidates. Running for office takes courage. Our candidates authentically and unapologetically showed up as themselves. Throughout their campaigns, they invested in their communities and gave back every chance they got. We are honored that they trusted us to amplify their vision and mission.
3. Our National Phonebank partners. This year, we joined forces with Vote Save America, DLCC, Run for Something, Human Rights Campaign, Latino Victory US, and many more to get out the vote in Virginia. This work is bigger than any one organization, and we’re grateful they’re on our team.
4. Our State Bridges partners. Our Bridges partners like New Georgia Project, New Virginia Majority, LUCHA, and the Texas Organizing Project are doing the hard work of year-round grassroots organizing in their communities and states. We were honored to raise more than $160,000 for our 10 State Bridges partners in 2021!
5. Our student organizers. Our Organizing and GOTV Fellows are critical to our success in states. Together, they work to create new volunteer teams, run phonebanks & support the growth and impact of existing teams nationwide. We know that young people are the future of the grassroots, and we love the passion they bring to our work!
   

We hope you are taking some time to rest and recharge with your loved ones this Thanksgiving. On November 30, we’ll be participating in Giving Tuesday – please mark your calendars and join in to support us on the biggest giving day of the year!
