Ted Cruz

Friend,

First, let me wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for your support.

But apparently not everyone is happy about Thanksgiving. I had to share this with you.

Earlier this week one of the worst programs on MSNBC (“The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross”) televised a bizarre attack on what they deemed was the false mythology of American Thanksgiving.

I responded right away. See my Tweet and the video clip below.

As you can see, it was a rhetorical cornucopia of woke, anti-American drivel. But they also get their facts wrong. A quick history refresher to help us all stand-up for Thanksgiving:

The Pilgrims’ Mayflower landed in New England on November 11, 1620, after a dangerous two-month voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. It’s true that their first Winter was indeed very difficult, with only 52 people surviving the first year in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

However, things improved quickly for the newcomers. By March 1621, the Pilgrims made a treaty of peace and mutual benefit with their new neighbors, the Wampanoags. Later that fall, the Pilgrims celebrated the harvest with the Wampanoag leader Massasoit and his men; and the American Thanksgiving tradition was born.

The story of the First Thanksgiving is something we should all should be proud to share.

We can't let the anti-American scolds on MSNBC and in the Democrat Party ruin our country by tearing down our shared history and patriotic traditions like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If you're thankful to be an American and agree with me - please make an extra Thanksgiving donation now. Thank you!
