Team, as a member of the NDRC team, I read about gerrymandering every single day. For the most part, I don’t get surprised anymore by the GOP’s brazen efforts to rig maps in every corner of the country.
But, today, this line jumped out at me:
”GOP sees advantage as redistricting hits half-way point.” -- The Hill
This is serious, John. If we don’t take immediate action, Republican lawmakers will implement the most gerrymandered maps we’ve seen in a generation.
We refuse to let the GOP get away with this -- so here’s how the NDRC is fighting back:
-- We’re deploying staff in key states to fight gerrymandering (Chip in now to help us support NDRC team members across the country, and all our work
-- We’re working with our partners to mobilize communities and empower them to demand a fair and transparent process (Chip in now to help power our grassroots army of fair maps advocates, and all our work)
-- When necessary, we’re supporting plaintiffs in lawsuits to demand fair maps (Chip in now to support our advocacy efforts, and all our work)
I won’t sugarcoat this -- there’s a lot on the line right now. If we fall short, Republicans could lock in their power for the next decade.
Luckily, we still have time to execute our action plan, fight back, and defend our democracy. But there’s no time to waste, which is why I’m asking: WIll you rush a contribution now to help the NDRC keep up the fight for fair maps?
-- Ben

Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters.
