"The amount of money that we have pumped into the economy this year has made struggling families like the one I grew up in struggle even more. . . . The last thing we need is another spending package that puts more heat into an economy that is already overheating."

** New Moms Are Getting Hit Especially Hard By Inflation ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
Being a new mom is one of life’s greatest blessings, but it’s also exhausting. Add to that historic inflation, a labor shortage and the ongoing supply chain crisis, and being a new mom has become more expensive, too. In June 2020, a one-month supply of Pampers diapers was $46.40. Today, those same diapers cost $69.94—a 50% price increase. Add to this other inflation costs affecting family staples ([link removed]) such as milk (4.3%), eggs (11.6%), cereal (4.3%), beef (20.1%), bacon (20.2%), shoes (7.5%), along with the surge in oil and gas prices, and you get a sense of how parents are getting hit especially hard. ** Americans Believe Build Back Better Would Make Inflation Worse ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
Americans, already hurting from record-level inflation, think the Build Back Better spending bill will cause inflation to spike further. According to new polling by POLITICO/Morning Consult ([link removed]) , lower-income households are far less likely than wealthier households to believe this massive spending plan will help fight inflation. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has abandoned its universal testosterone criteria for transgender athletes, instead handing over eligibility determinations to the governing bodies of each sport. The IOC's new framework urges sporting agencies to consider ten guiding principles in setting criteria to compete in single-sex events. The IOC places “inclusion” first on that list, above “prevention of harm” and “fairness.”
