Friend,

A column that ran in yesterday's edition of the Boston Herald was a near-perfect encapsulation of our Democrat-dominated state Legislature. to the public.

Here's a snippet:

"The Democratic-led Massachusetts Legislature is now officially a national embarrassment.

Lawmakers — who are still able to work remotely because the State House is closed to the public — are on a seven-week holiday break while billions in federal COVID relief funds sit there unspent.

So legislators get to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas from home, playing by their own rules while the rest of us struggle to meet our work demands while stressing out over the holidays.

And even when they come back from break, Democratic leaders make sure they do as little work as possible."

I say "near-perfect" because the column leaves out one important point: the Democrats are letting federal COVID relief funds remain unspent because lawmakers are still divvying up who gets what in terms of home district pork pet projects.

This is why everything is done behind closed doors, and this is why they are in no hurry to open the building to the public, remaining the last state in nation to do so.

Have you had enough yet?

You should know that the Massachusetts Republican Party is working overtime to recruit GOP candidates who will answer to the people and not to Democratic leadership.

We can bring about change on Beacon Hill, but we need your help.
