Last week we asked you to fill out our supporter survey, where we asked which issues were most important to you, your family, and your community. You shared what was on your mind, and we listened:
More than 94% of you shared that protecting our democracy was among the most important issues for Democratic AGs to prioritize, and friend, here's some good news: Dem AGs are fighting every single day for the right to vote. Whether it's in the courts, suing Republican officials for trying to pass anti-democratic voting legislation, or using the power of the AG office to advocate for making it easier and safer to vote during the pandemic, this is a priority issue for every Dem AG, especially heading into the 2022 midterm elections.
Access to abortion and reproductive care was another critical issue survey responders listed as extremely important. Nearly 80% of you listed it as one of your highest priority issues. DAGA was the first political committee to only support pro-choice, pro-reproductive rights candidates, and we proudly stand by that commitment every day. Ensuring access to a safe abortion is and always will be a priority for every Dem AG.
More than 86% of respondents to our survey shared that defending the environment, and maintaining clean air and water are important to them. Dem AGs are acting on this by holding bad actors accountable, and pushing for stricter climate regulation at the state and federal level.
Beyond voting rights, reproductive rights, and environmental issues, Dem AGs are also working to expand healthcare, reform our justice system, and a host of other issues that were top priorities for supporters like you.
Dem AGs are tapped into the concerns and needs of our communities, and we need to support them the way that they always support us. We thank you for your feedback, because it’s a critical part of this process.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
