FIRST: Morning Consult released a poll showing that Joni Ernst was in HUGE trouble. Her approval rating in Iowa plummeted 9 points last month, making her one of the most disliked Republicans in the entire country.

NOW: Politico is reporting that “Trump is rewarding senators” like Ernst “who have his back on impeachment” and according to Newsweek, a former Bush ethics lawyer calls it “felony bribery.” Trump’s campaign is also sending emails urging his supporters to give to Ernst and urging corporate PACs and lobbyists to send cash and air ads to give her a boost.
