Please join NIAC's Los Angeles chapter on Thursday, December 2 at 5pm PT/8pm ET for a very special book talk with Iranian-American author Ari Honarvar about her new book A Girl Called Rumi.
Ari is the founder of Rumi with a View, dedicated to building music and poetry bridges across war-torn and conflict-ridden borders. Her writing has appeared in The Guardian, Teen Vogue, Washington Post, Newsweek, and elsewhere. Joining Ari in discussion will be Sara Haghdoosti, Deputy Director and Senior Strategist at Win Without War and NIAC 40/40 nominee, writer, organizer, and strategist. Are you a small business owner and need to jumpstart your business in time for the holidays? Join us for an important event in NIAC’s Small Business Series! The event will be moderated by Tong Qin, who was previously at SBA for over 12 years, and feature Julie Clowes, the San Francisco SBA District Director, and Ahmad Shams, Iranian-American business owner. The event will focus on small business financing, disaster loans (EIDL and other currently declared disaster loans, such as CA wildfires), federal contracting resources, and SBA technical assistance.
