When the Affordable Care Act became law, then-Vice President Joe Biden whispered to President Barack Obama some iconic — though somewhat uncouth — words which have gone down in history: “This is a big ****ing deal.”

(Hey, it was a historic moment. And he wasn’t wrong!!)

Now, we don’t use that kind of language in our emails, so we’ll just say this: The Build Back Better Act, which just passed in the U.S. House, is a big, huge, enormous, incredible, historic, monumental, life-changing deal.

So let’s break down some highlights:

  • Universal, free preschool for ALL 3- and 4-year olds
    • This is largest expansion of universal and free education since public schools were created 100 years ago
  • Slashing prescription drug costs
    • Caps insulin at $35/month
    • Caps seniors’ out-of-pocket drug spending at $2,000/year
  • Cutting child poverty IN HALF
  • The largest investment in affordable housing in American history
  • The largest effort to combat climate change in American history
  • Huge tax cuts and tax credits for middle-class families
  • Expanding access to home- and community-based care for senior citizen

And all this without raising taxes a single cent for middle-class families.

Y’all, this stuff is LIFE-CHANGING. And we’ve barely scratched the surface of everything this bill will deliver for Georgians.

This kind of transformative progress is exactly what we worked so hard for when we made history and flipped Georgia blue last year — and there’s no question that none of this would have been possible without Georgia.

But you can be sure that if we don’t keep Georgia blue, that will be the end of this kind of Democratic progress. So please, will you chip in $20 so we can keep Georgia blue and continue achieving historic results?
