John,
For too long, Congressman Danny Davis has been a representative for health insurance companies, the real estate industry, and big corporations instead of the people. So we weren’t surprised that Davis is the third-highest recipient of pro-business PAC money among Democrats in Congress.
If getting corporate campaign contributions was a competition, he would get a bronze medal.🥉🥉🥉
Kina Collins is primarying Davis to represent the people, not corporations, in Congress. And while Kina hasn’t accepted a dime of corporate PAC money, 73% of Danny Davis’s campaign contributions have come from pro-Business PACs.
In a political system in which corporate campaign contributions now mean backroom deals later, we need to elect candidates who reject money from corporate PACs. Will you split a $3 contribution between Kina Collins and Justice Democrats so we can send her and other Justice Democrats to fight for the people in Congress?
Big Business PACs are bankrolling Danny Davis’ re-election because he has championed their interests in Congress, not the Chicagoans that elected him. And in one of the most unequal Congressional districts in the country, where the community struggles with unemployment, gun violence, and unsafe drinking water — that is unacceptable.
Kina is a working-class organizer running against a well-funded opponent, but unlike Danny Davis, she’ll never call up the special interests when fundraising slows down. Can you split a contribution between Kina Collins and Justice Democrats to support the fight ahead?
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
