McCarthy's arrogance was on full display during his eight hour speech to delay the vote on the Build Back Better Act. It was a pitiful attempt to curry Trump's approval and get the Speaker's gavel. McCarthy himself admitted his speech wouldn't make a difference on the vote.
Instead of supporting historic investments in working families here in the Central Valley, McCarthy rambled for eight hours. Not being able to test drive a Tesla despite being friends with Elon Musk came up in his speech. He's becoming more unhinged by the day, and we're getting a real taste for what a McCarthy speakership would look like if Republicans take back the House. That's why I'm running against him.
Every moment McCarthy spends fighting off our campaign in his backyard is one less minute he has to help the Republicans nationwide. Our job is two-fold: 1.) Hold him accountable right now, and 2.) defeat him at the ballot box in November. The best way we can do that is by making sure we have resources to run a strong door-to-door operation -- that’s where you come in:
