"Look on my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law. Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise."

- Psalm 119:153-154

Africa
- Praise God for providing new staff to join our investigation teams in Ghana. We have been very short-staffed and the search for the right people with the skills and passion for rescuing children out of slavery in the fishing industry on Lake Volta has been a long one. Pray for the strength and courage that each of these individuals will need as they work hard and partner with police to bring rescue for enslaved children.
Latin America
- Praise God that an IJM partner in Guatemala took on a 15-year old girl's case which was originally reported to the Public Ministry by the Ministry of Education. Thank God for our partners' commitment and good governmental collaboration. Pray that the Ministry of Education continues to put the rights of child victims of sexual violence before any administrative procedure, and that justice would prevail in this case.
South Asia
- Please continue to pray for the 42 children, women and men rescued last week from wood-cutting units. These families are safe, but they continue to live in intense fear of the former slave owners. We are advocating for government protection for these families, but we also need God's hand to cover them and help them find peace. Pray that we advocate effectively and ensure these terrified survivors can experience true and total safety.

Southeast Asia
- We continue to relentlessly seek rescue on behalf of men trapped in forced labor slavery in Thailand's massive fishing industry. Please continue to persevere with us in prayer that victims of trafficking who are in urgent need of rescue are found, that their stories of abuse at sea and at seafood processing centers are heard by those in power, and that the Thai government is able to swiftly bring justice to those who are abusing them.

- Please pray for our upcoming

2019 Advocacy Summit , where our advocates in the U.S. will ask their elected officials to support legislation that will protect women and children from violence in Central America. Ask God to draw people to the event from across the country and to use the event to build the justice movement.
