With the start of the holiday season, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what we are thankful for — our legacy. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such great leadership through our Founder, Dr. Gary Gitnick. We are thankful for the foundation he built for our organization to provide students in Los Angeles the support they need to accomplish their goals and earn their college degrees.

As we also prepare to enter our 45th year of existence, we are grateful for the legacy Dr. Gitnick leaves behind that will be felt for generations to come. Through his work with Fulfillment Fund, he created a new wave of strong community leaders that are already changing the landscape and helping to push the needle on education equity. By planting these seeds, Dr. Gitnick multiplied his impact.

We are thankful that we as an organization have survived this pandemic, sadly, many of our peer organizations did not, and it is because of Dr. Gitnick’s ability to bring together a group of committed and caring individuals to support our mission.
