Friend,

This is a long email about growing up in Montana. I hope you'll take a moment to read the entire email, then consider donating $3 to protect public lands in our state and across the country.

Like most in Montana, I was raised with a close connection to our lands. My dad would hunt, and my family spent all of our free time outdoors -- camping, hiking, rafting, and fishing.

There was a real sense of freedom then. I remember my best friend and I would just jump on her horses and ride the open lands that surrounded us -- both private and public -- with very few barriers or fences in our way. Our neighbors readily shared access to their lands, and we all shared and cared for them collectively.

Things have changed, but that connection to our land is still a big part of who we are as Montanans. It's why protecting public lands is so central to my campaign for Congress. And it's why I stood so strongly with local land custodians when my opponent Ryan Zinke tried to destroy national monuments for fossil fuel exploration.

Montanans deserve a representative who will defend our public lands -- not sell them to the highest bidder. That's why I'm running for Congress, but I can't win this race without support from grassroots donors like you. If you can, please chip in $3 to support my campaign in MT-01.

In Montana, defending public lands transcends party politics. It's important to our native communities, conservation leaders, ranchers, and hunters alike.

That unity is something we're very proud of, and it's why we're all equally disturbed when politicians like Ryan Zinke rip up environmental safeguards and exploit public lands for corporate profits.

Now he wants to represent us in Congress? Not on our watch.

This campaign is our best shot at electing a public lands advocate who will stand up to Zinke and the corporate polluters, but I can’t win this race alone:

We’re still a bit short of our end-of-week fundraising goal, and I can use a boost before the deadline. Please chip in $3 to help us win this race and send a public lands ally to Congress.

Thanks for your support,

Cora
