Team,

Everyone who works in Rhode Island should be able to afford to live in Rhode Island. But right now, more than a third of Rhode Island households are classified as cost burdened by housing.

Our state has continued to struggle with our lack of housing supply and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made this crisis worse. That's why yesterday, I released our plan to solve Rhode Island's housing crisis.

As your next Governor, I will make major investments to make housing more affordable for Rhode Islanders and end homelessness in our state.

I will make housing a priority of the state government by creating a cabinet level housing agency to develop and implement a housing plan for our state. We'll create more housing by investing in thousands of units of affordable homes, investing in infrastructure, and reducing red tape for affordable housing development. And together, we'll work toward ending homelessness by instituting a Housing First approach.

Together we can ensure that every Rhode Islander has access to affordable housing. Will you add your name to support my plan to make housing more affordable for Rhode Islanders?

As a Board member of Rhode Island Housing and Crossroads Rhode Island, I've seen the importance of investing in housing firsthand. I was the first candidate to call out the slow rollout of RentReliefRI, and I proposed a plan to fix it. I led the fight to approve more than $115 million in affordable housing development through two housing bonds, and I testified and supported the bill to protect Rhode Islanders from source of income discrimination.

I believe that every Rhode Islander has the right to a dignified home regardless of background, and as Governor, I will fight to make affordable housing for all a reality.

Add your name if you're ready to get to work on solving Rhode Island's housing crisis.
