With Thanksgiving this week and the end-of-year holidays around the corner -- and with COVID continuing to impact our families and communities -- our local food banks need urgent support.

I have selected these food banks serving different parts of our state and region that need our support: the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Midwest Food Bank, Operation Food Search, Northeast Community Fund, the Central Illinois Food Bank, and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Food banks are essential to our communities and continue to be swamped by the increased need the COVID-19 pandemic has created. They are doing their best to help people across the state feed their families and celebrate the holidays.
