Dear NRDC Activist,
We can't say it enough: THANK YOU!
It may not feel that way these days, but 2021 has been a year of much progress. President Biden restored American leadership on climate change by getting us back in the Paris Climate Accord and putting forth the boldest climate plan in history with the Build Back Better agenda. The Biden administration also banned the toxic pesticide chlorpyrifos, revoked key permits that killed the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, and has proposed to withdraw federal lands from fossil fuel leasing around Chaco Culture National Historical Park, a UNESCO world heritage site in New Mexico.
Every victory we've helped achieve was made possible because passionate, committed people like you are fighting for our planet day in and day out.
Even we were surprised by the sheer volume of activism the NRDC community drove this year when we tallied it all up. Take a guess: How many letters did you and other NRDC supporters send to lawmakers, corporations, and others on behalf of the environment so far in 2021?

Whether you sent a letter, called an elected official, participated in a local protest, shared a news story with friends, or donated — YOU made a difference for the environment this year.
Thank you again for everything you do to fight for a cleaner, healthier, more equitable future for all. We're deeply grateful for this community and wish you and your loved ones a safe and joyous Thanksgiving holiday.
- Your friends at NRDC
