Dear John,

In Uganda, a survivor recently came forward to local authorities and shared that she and several other children were being trafficked. Thanks to this survivor’s heroic act and the tireless work of our partners in Uganda, she and the 52 other children identified in the case are now safe and receiving care.

The children were trafficked by a pastor who told their families they would be safe with him during a COVID-19 lockdown that left many parents out of work. Instead, he sexually abused and trafficked them. Our team is working closely with prosecutors in Uganda to ensure this trafficker is never able to harm another child.

These children, reunited with their families, have begun a long journey towards healing and restoration. But millions of children all over the world are still being trafficked. While these atrocities are still being committed against the vulnerable, we will not rest. We need your help this Giving Tuesday to protect them.

Would you share this email with your family members and friends? Traffickers won’t stop without a fight, so we need all hands on deck to fight this injustice.
