Learn: We’ll hear from Nathalie Owen, the Sustainability Program Manager for Fairfax County’s Department of Procurement and Material Management. Nathalie served as team lead for the development of a Zero Waste plan for Fairfax County government and school buildings. This plan sets the county government and FCPS on the path to Zero Waste by 2030, diverting 90% of waste from landfills or incinerators. Come find out what the plan entails.

Discuss: Have questions about transitioning county government, businesses, and residences to Zero Waste? Bring them! We will have plenty of time for Q&A.

Act: How can we support Fairfax County’s Zero Waste efforts, and what can we do to push them further? Come to the meeting so we can work on this together.
