Dear John,

On December 1, 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the most consequential abortion rights case in nearly 50 years. Just yesterday, the Supreme Court’s inaction allowed for Texas’s cruel abortion ban, S.B. 8, to remain in effect. For 83 days now, pregnant people in Texas have had their access to abortion blocked.

As the future of abortion rights and access hangs in the balance, it’s time to let the world know why #AbortionIsEssential.

Today, November 23, will be a Digital Day of Action, when we join with supporters and organizations across the country to make our voices heard.

Legality has never been enough. We must come together to create a future where abortion isn’t just legal, but also accessible, affordable, and supported in our communities!

Share why #AbortionIsEssential – to you, to those you love, to your community – on social media. Here are two simple ways to share today, and be sure to tag us @PRHdocs:

-- Download #AbortionIsEssential graphics and share with your network why abortion care is so vital to dignity, to justice, to our well-being.

-- Write #AbortionIsEssential on a piece of paper, take a selfie or photo of it, and in the post caption fill in the blank: "Abortion is essential to ___ and here's why..."

It is up to us to ensure our voices are heard at this critical time. Thank you for taking action!

Sincerely,

Kelsey Rhodes (she/her/hers)
