Around the world, democracy is increasingly under attack — along with civil rights and civil liberties. At the Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT), we are taking a stand against governmental overreach and harmful data practices, fighting to combat inequality, empower individuals and communities, and address abusive online content while protecting human rights and the rule of law. And we need your help.
On Tuesday, November 30, millions of people across the world will come together to support organizations and causes that they care about. Known as #GivingTuesday, this day of philanthropy follows the consumerism of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday — and perhaps best represents the spirit of the holiday season. This #GivingTuesday, I hope you will consider making a donation to CDT ([link removed]).
Your gift on #GivingTuesday supports CDT’s work to address the most challenging issues of our day. From ensuring platform accountability and transparency, to continuing the fight for strong encryption and meaningful privacy protections, we put you at the center of our work.
Support CDT and donate ([link removed]) this holiday season on #GivingTuesday, November 30th. Any gift makes a difference, whether it is $10 or $10,000. With your support, we will continue to put civil rights and civil liberties at the center of the digital age.
With sincere thanks,
Alexandra Reeve Givens
President & CEO
Center for Democracy & Technology
