Can We Count on You to Give the Gift of Welcome?
Did you know that Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM), through a network of 11 affiliates around the U.S., helps new Americans develop the language and employment skills they need to find a job, support their families, and pursue their goals? EMM programs provide the intensive employment training and counseling required to help refugees find work and contribute to their local communities.
It is the support and commitment from congregations, volunteers, and supporters like you that has allowed EMM to resettle over 97,000 individuals since the 1980s. For the first time in EMM’s history, an anonymous EMM donor has pledged to match your gift up to $50,000 on this year’s Giving Tuesday!
Will you help EMM welcome our newest neighbors through this vital and life-saving ministry?
Your gift will go directly to assisting our new neighbors with housing, direct support, and opportunities for congregational support, so they have a solid foundation to begin their lives in the U.S, as well as towards support in the following areas:
-
Laptops, school bags, etc. for children enrolling in school
-
Toys and coloring kits for children
-
Winter clothing for the fall
-
One-time, short-term rental and utility assistance
EMM and its local affiliates are expanding opportunities for community sponsorship, providing new and creative ways that individuals and congregations can walk alongside our newest neighbors by offering available housing, donating pro bono services, and much more. Your financial support will help create these new programs so EMM can maximize local community resources and welcome.
