Dear John,
As we approach Thanksgiving, even in a year of one self-inflicted crisis after another by the Biden-Harris administration, there is still so much for us to be grateful for.
General George Washington, first president of the United States of America, expressed his gratitude for our nation's First Freedom -- the freedom of religion -- in a 1789 public address.
"The liberty enjoyed by the People of these States, of worshipping Almighty God agreeable to their Consciences, is not only among the choicest of their Blessings, but also of their Rights," said Washington to the Society of Quakers.
This Sunday evening, November 28, we are exercising this right in a tangible way as FRC hosts Pray Together for Life, a national prayer gathering livestreamed from Jackson, Mississippi focused on the crucial abortion-related case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization which will be heard by the Supreme Court next week.
I urge you to join us and thousands of believers from across America as pro-life advocates lead us in prayer for this case that could overturn Roe v. Wade -- the infamous Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal in all 50 states. Please visit praytogetherforlife.com for further information and share the event with your church and prayer network.
This Thanksgiving, will you join me in thanking the Lord for this great nation and the blessings of freedom -- including religious freedom, free speech, and the right to life -- enshrined in our founding documents?
I am enormously grateful for faithful friends and partners like you, John, who have made our mission possible through your generous financial support and prayers. As the year end approaches quickly, please stay tuned for special opportunities to multiply the impact of your gifts like #GivingTuesday next week.
I hope the holidays ahead bring special blessings to you and your family.
