In honor of the holiday season, we’re celebrating our successes this month, team.

One big success: getting prescription drug negotiations into the Build Back Better (BBB) package.

Right now, big pharmaceutical companies — who only stand to gain from high prices — are deciding the costs of prescription drugs. And we know they will always put their bottom line over the American people.

Carolyn worked with her colleagues and stakeholders across our community to change this. With the passage of the Build Back Better Act, the Secretary of Health and Human Services will have the power to directly negotiate what Medicare pays for prescription drugs, rather than big pharmaceutical companies.

This will allow drug prices to be fixed by an unbiased third party.
