John,
In just 9 days, hundreds of us will physically encircle the Supreme Court of the United States to send a loud and powerful message that we are holding the line for abortion justice.
We knew we had to display our people-power in a big way the moment we found out that the Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization on December 1. Whatever is decided in this case will set a critical precedent for the future of abortion access throughout the entire country.
It’s going to take a massive effort from our organizing team and significant funding to put together a mobilization like this in just 9 days — but it’s critical we make our resistance heard before the Supreme Court decides on our reproductive rights.
Months ago, when the Supreme Court rejected an emergency request to block Texas's abortion ban, they effectively took the next step towards overturning Roe v. Wade.
That’s why it’s so critical leading up to this critical abortion case we make our resistance loud and clear. We need to send an unmistakable message about our fierce opposition to restricting abortion access and overturning our constitutional right to an abortion before it's too late.
To make our resistance clear, we’re putting together this mobilization and physically encircling the Supreme Court with coalition partners who share our commitment to holding the line for abortion justice.
We're expecting hundreds of women and feminists to turn out (probably hundreds of counter-protestors too) and we also need to make sure we have enough supplies to keep our marchers and communities safe.
In solidarity,
Women's March
