One of the best ways a candidate can connect with voters at the start of their campaign is by releasing what's known as a "launch video." This type of video helps candidates build excitement around their candidacy – and tends to be the moment they share the story of why they chose to run for office.

For women candidates, it’s especially important. It gives them a chance to tell their story on their own terms (before the inevitable misogyny that often ensues once a campaign starts to pick up steam).

While these videos can be an incredible opportunity for candidates who have the early funding to cover production, most of our candidates do not have that luxury.

One of the ways Her Bold Move supports our endorsed candidates is by producing these videos for them as in-kind contributions.

We're especially proud of this offering because we've found it to be a much more effective use of our contribution than a check for $2,900. (For most races, the contribution limit is $2,900 per election in compliance with FEC guidelines). A well-produced launch video can take a candidates' fundraising efforts so much further.

Plus, we have amazing (super passionate) production teams who are able to create these videos for under $2,900.

This is something that REALLY can't wait until 2022. Deserving female candidates are announcing their campaigns RIGHT NOW, and these launch videos can help them get the early support that is CRITICAL to a successful campaign.
