The United States Senate is debating how much to spend on the military next year.
Meanwhile, the Senate still hasn’t passed President Biden’s Build Back Better plan, which would “cost” an average of $175 billion a year and do more to level the playing field for everyday Americans than any legislation since the New Deal era.

(I put “cost” in quotes because it wouldn’t really cost anything if Congress had the collective backbone to stand up to billionaires and Big Business by making them pay their fair share in taxes.)

But the Senate may give more than four times as much of our taxpayer dollars to the infamously wasteful military-industrial complex.

A short but direct message to the Senate:

Do not give the Pentagon one dollar more than the administration asked for.

Add your name.

Thanks for taking action.

For peace and progress,
