I am truly appalled at what just happened: The shooter that killed two people in Kenosha, WI last year has been found not guilty on all charges.

Apparently it is legal in America for a teenager to bring an assault rifle across state lines and kill two people. And it soon may become a Constitutional right. We can't let that happen.

This verdict is a horrifying reminder of what could happen if NRA’s guns everywhere vision of our country is enshrined in law. There is no right to carry a firearm – much less an illegally bought assault rifle – across state lines to terrorize a community. 

The Supreme Court recently heard a case that could make this kind of tragedy the norm. This is the world we could live in if the Court decides that the Constitution entitles virtually anyone to carry guns virtually anywhere, to shoot people when they deem it necessary for self-defense. If the Kenosha Killer had not brought an assault rifle to that protest, no one would have died. Because he did, two people were killed.

This miscarriage of justice cannot become the norm – that’s why we are fighting tooth and nail in court against the NRA’s deadly agenda. We’re challenging them in the Supreme Court and in courts across the country because the right to kill cannot supersede the right to live.

The NRA has already poured millions into their deadly campaign, and we can’t let them put more lives at risk. Your support has never been more seriously needed, that’s why I’m personally asking you right now: Please, will you rush $5 or more now — every dollar you can spare — to make sure Brady can defeat the NRA in court, prevent gun violence, and save lives?
