I've always admired the staff at Planned Parenthood health centers. Whether we're talking about medical staff like doctors and nurses, sex educators, or support staff — who welcome patients and make sure they get the care they need — these folks do amazing, essential work every single day.
And that's always been true. But after what we've seen unfolding with the latest attacks on abortion access and reproductive health, I've never been more proud, or more grateful. Health center staff have performed heroically, doing everything in their power to care for patients under extraordinary circumstances.
With just a few days until Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to thank these essential workers and everyone in the Planned Parenthood family who helps care for patients and defend reproductive rights.

This fall, the nation's eyes have been on Texas. The S.B. 8 abortion ban is designed to target providers and health center staff, allowing bounty hunters to drag them to court for providing abortions.
But health center workers have not given up on their patients. Their commitment and courage remain unshaken. And it's not just Texas. When patients were blocked from care in Texas, health center staff in Oklahoma, New Mexico, California, and other states opened up their doors. They worked tirelessly to care — not only for their own communities, but to welcome Texans who were forced to flee their home state just to get health care.
Let's show health center staff that we see them, we appreciate them, and we know how much their work matters. Click here to add your name.
Millions of people have found care and support at Planned Parenthood health centers — birth control, cancer screenings, abortion and STI testing and treatment are all provided with the utmost expertise and compassion. Every service visit depends on the health center workers who dedicate themselves to making sure that everyone can get the care they need.
Nearly two years into a pandemic, as states move to ban abortion and block access to reproductive care, when communities are relying on Planned Parenthood health centers like never before — I think they have earned our thanks.

Sincerely,
Alexis McGill Johnson, President & CEO
