John, I was so proud to witness President Biden sign the historic infrastructure bill into law last week, and I was equally proud to vote to advance a once-in-a-generation investment in health care, universal pre-K education, paid leave, climate action and more through the House.

Today I need to ask for your help to continue this progress — but first I want to discuss what these major investments in American families and infrastructure investment means for Florida.

The newly signed infrastructure investment will create millions of good-paying union jobs focused on modernizing and repairing our bridges, roads, and public transportation systems, and makes historic investments in affordable high-speed broadband, electric vehicles, green infrastructure and clean drinking water.

This is a major win for Florida and for every American, but it’s just the first step forward in our work to Build Back Better, and on Friday the Democratic House took one step further.

Without ANY Republican support, we passed transformative legislation to lower the cost of health care, child care, and home care while making sure the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share. Through this legislation we’re also taking historic action against the climate crisis.
