As we’re getting closer to the end of the month — and even closer to 2022 — campaign fundraising is on our mind.
Last month, Rand Paul showed us exactly the type of race he is gearing up for – and he is taking nothing for granted. In October, he reported the largest amount he’s ever raised in a three-month period and most of it came from dark money interests and corporate donors. It’s clear that he sees us as a threat and there will be no expense spared in order to try to keep Charles and our movement out of the U.S. Senate.
But we have something that he doesn’t — you.
Our campaign is not powered by special interest groups. It’s powered by real people, and together we are going to prove that dark money is no match for our movement.
We just need to keep our fundraising strong and continue to hit our goals so we can keep organizing. And you’re one of our best supporters, so we want to ask:
When Charles ran to challenge Mitch McConnell in 2020, we were being outraised 40-to-1 — and we shocked the entire country.
That’s because the strength of grassroots campaigns like ours doesn’t come from hundreds of millions of dollars from the rich — it comes from early investments and preparation. What we are able to invest from today through the rest of 2021 will have a huge impact on our success next year.
We know that change in Kentucky is possible. But that starts by building relationships with Kentuckians who’ve been left behind and making sure that we have the resources to do it early and right — to come together and fight for the future we deserve.
More soon,
Team Booker
