Speak out for climate action: We need 10,000 supporters to sign today? ? ? ? Friend,

We are so close to passing the most significant piece of climate legislation in U.S. history! On Friday, the U.S. House passed the Build Back Better Act on a 220-213 vote. This is huge ? but we're not done yet!

The Build Back Better Act will cut climate emissions, create good-paying union jobs, and invest directly in communities of color who unfairly bear the brunt of pollution and climate-related disasters. After years of work to get to this point, we are on the verge of solidifying historic legislation that will make a real impact against the climate crisis.

Thanks to LCV supporters and activists in every state ? including you ? we made sure that members of Congress prioritized bold climate action in this bill, and we are now on the path to cutting climate pollution in half by 2030.

But we aren't done yet. This legislation ? the most transformational climate legislation ever ? now goes to the Senate. There's no room for error. Our grassroots campaign for climate action is what will keep key votes in our corner ? we need you to send a message to your senators today to keep that momentum up.

Today, we've set the goal for 10,000 LCV supporters to write to their senators to keep up the pressure for bold action on climate. Your voice is critical. Add your name ? [link removed]

The Build Back Better Act House vote shows what we can accomplish when all of us come together and demand our leaders take the climate crisis seriously. Members of Congress are seeing our campaigns, petitions, and grassroots support everywhere for bold and immediate climate action.

Here's what we've done together so far ? and are continuing to do ? to make this bill a reality: Our field program is mobilizing constituents in 12 states and 25 congressional districts, with 15 offices and over 100 staff on the ground. Organizers in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia are going door to door canvassing and engaging LCV supporters, activists, residents, and local businesses to pledge support for bold legislation. Our organizers have knocked on 374,725 doors and made meaningful connections with communities that will be impacted most by this legislation. As a result, 13,820 businesses and 16,000 residents now display their support for climate action with signs and literature, increasing visibility for congressional action on climate. We have held over 400 events including art activations, community gatherings, rallies, town halls, and visits to clean energy facilities with members of Congress across the nation. And, we ran a media campaign in 16 states to ensure that key members of Congress felt supported in taking strong action for clean energy, climate, jobs, and justice. Powerful cable, broadcast TV, and digital ads made the case that climate action means good-paying jobs and lower costs for families. Now we're in the final stretch ? and your senators need to continue hearing from you.

Be one of the 10,000 people we need to tell their senators today to pass the Build Back Better Act and deliver real progress on climate ? [link removed]

We have made so much progress together and are so close to a MAJOR victory in the fight for climate action, environmental justice and a clean energy future. We can win this.

We could not have gotten to this point without your support, and we can't stop here. Make sure the Senate hears your voice so we can get Build Back Better across the finish line. [link removed]
