Hi John,

CNN reports that homicides “continue to rise” in Florida, but Marco Rubio opposes all new government spending, even if it goes towards saving his constituents' lives. And Rubio—who has skipped 14 important Senate hearings in just the last sixty days instead of protecting his constituents—boasts an A+ from the NRA.

Days after Democrat Val Demings introduced bombshell legislation to help the Department of Justice solve more murders and shootings across the country, Demings put Rubio on blast: “Working Floridians pay his salary, so if he can't show up to work for us, we will replace him.”

John, if Val Demings ousts Rubio, not only will she pass common-sense gun control, expand childcare, and defend voting rights, but Democrats will also expand our razor-thin 50/50 Senate Majority and pass a suite of progressive legislation to make America safer.

Val Demings still trails Marco Rubio in this race by two points. And if Rubio's new television attack ad campaign successfully crushes Demings, Rubio will claim another six years in the Senate, dissolve our 50/50 Majority, and send Mitch McConnell back to the Majority Leader's desk.

We are doing absolutely everything we can to elect Val Demings, but today, as Demings fights for her political life, we're still short $1,750 from our Thanksgiving fundraising goal. If we can't catch up by midnight tonight, we'll have to scale back our plans in Florida. And Rubio will win again.

Our Senate Majority is at stake here, John, and since you are the reason we won our 50/50 Senate in the first place, we're reaching out to you directly. Will you help us support Val Demings and fight for a stronger, safer country?

This can't wait, John: Please, whether you can spare $5, $10, $25, or even more, please donate right now. Our health and safety depend on the choices we make today ahead of next year's midterms. Will you chip in now to make your voice heard in Val Demings' crucial race and get this country back on the right track? >> [link removed]

Thank you for refusing to back down, John. Thanks for everything.
