I am heartbroken as we learn more about the tragedy in Waukesha. Five innocent lives have been lost, and many more are injured. My prayers are with them and their families.

This is an act of senseless violence that is impossible to comprehend. After months of difficulty and uncertainty, families finally felt like they were able to enjoy a Christmas parade, only to be met with tragedy.

It’s not fair. It makes me angry. And I know you feel the same way.

It won’t bring back what we lost, but we can put our grief into action. Local community groups have come together to form the “United for Waukesha Community Fund.” This fund will support the needs of the families impacted by Sunday’s tragic incident at the annual Waukesha Christmas Parade.
