They've spent nearly $1m on this recall effort. That's a lot of off-season money and there's an expected return on that investment by realtors and landlords. Republicans in over 40 states are pushing voter suppression bills attacking gains made in the Civil Rights movement as a backlash against the #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and #BLM movement last year. It’s no surprise they’re trying to get away with voter suppression here by sandwiching a decisive election between the 2 biggest holidays in the US.
