This last month my colleagues and I have pushed forward on accomplishing the goals we set earlier this year. And we have accomplished a lot. I've been working hard to make sure Orange County has a stake in every negotiation and receives tangible wins that make a meaningful, positive difference in our everyday lives. 

Last Friday, I voted YES for the historic Build Back Better Act, an act that delivers for all of us by providing critical investments in:

• Paid family leave 
• Expanded health care coverage
• Combating the climate crisis
• Universal pre-K
• Housing assistance - expands access to affordable accessible housing; helps 294,000 households afford their rent; and builds, upgrades and retrofits over 1.8 million affordable units. 
• Immigration reform for hard working taxpayers 

And earlier this month Congress passed and President Biden signed a bipartisan $1 trillion infrastructure bill.
