California Representative Katie Porter just unleashed her infamous whiteboard on Trump Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

In a House Oversight Committee hearing, Rep. Porter showed how since DeJoy took office, the mail has gone from 92% on-time delivery to a dismal 61% -- and DeJoy just ordered another mail slowdown in October.(1)

Rep. Porter’s message is clear: Louis DeJoy has to go. But to make that happen, President Joe Biden must move faster on his promises to save the USPS, and Congress must fully fund the post office in the Build Back Better bill. We are demanding that they take action immediately.

It is just mind boggling that Louis DeJoy is still in office.

He was specifically appointed by Trump to slow down the mail to interfere with ballots in the 2020 election.(2) But he also has millions of dollars invested in shipping companies that are direct competitors to the USPS, giving him incentive to see the agency fail.(3)

And as his tenure has gone on, DeJoy has proven himself more and more corrupt. He bought $305,000 in bonds from the investment firm managed by the chair of the USPS's governing board.(4) An investigation showed no less than a dozen conflicts of interest in his actions.(5)

And yet DeJoy has been permitted to move forward with a ten year plan to slow down the mail and make it more expensive, almost certainly putting it out of business. He has already cut the labor force, shut down mail sorters, and removed mailboxes around the country.

This isn’t just about holiday cards and gifts, which certainly will be delayed. This is about prescription medicines that won’t reach veterans through the VA. This is about social security checks languishing in warehouses.

Rep. Porter’s whiteboarding of Louis DeJoy is going viral, and we need to take advantage of this moment to insist that DeJoy be fired and that Congress fully fund the U.S. Postal Service. Will you donate to help us ramp up our campaign?
