Denouncing Congressional Democrats' Passage of Radical Tax-and-Spending Spree
At a time when Americans are paying outrageously higher prices for gas at the pump and food at the grocery store, Washington Democrats responded this week by ramming their multi-trillion dollar tax-and-spending spree through the House of Representatives. Their extremist agenda will cause the price of everyday household goods to skyrocket, raise taxes on working families, and ship millions of jobs overseas.

This big government socialist reconciliation bill includes an additional 87,000 new IRS agents to snoop on the bank accounts of law-abiding citizens, amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, and $250 billion in tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
Washington Democrats are raising taxes on struggling American families, workers, and small businesses to pay for their far-left, radical agenda.
This Thanksgiving is expected to be the most expensive ever because of President Biden's inflationary spending. Instead of passing legislation that would help struggling families, Democrats are doing the opposite. They voted for a natural gas tax that would raise household energy costs by 30 percent so they can give tax cuts to multi-millionaires, and the Biden Administration can send $450,000 payments to illegal immigrants.
That is insane, and I will continue fighting against the liberal policies being pushed by President Biden and Speaker Pelosi.
Gulf of Mexico Oil & Gas Lease Sale Brings in Nearly $200 Million
This week, Gulf of Mexico Lease Sale 257 finally took place. As one of President Biden’s first orders of business, he instituted a radical ban on new oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters, which initially prevented the lease sale from occurring in March. But after a federal judge struck down Biden’s illegal ban and ordered the canceled lease sale to be rescheduled, the lease sale generated $191.6 million in high bids from 33 companies in the Gulf of Mexico. Such a strong turnout proves there is clear interest and vast potential for continued offshore exploration and development in the Gulf of Mexico.
This lease sale will bring critical dollars to Louisiana for coastal restoration and hurricane protection, and I will keep pushing the Biden Administration to hold further lease sales in the Gulf and expand American energy production to lower gas prices at the pump and create more energy jobs here at home, which will significantly benefit our state and the nation.
Meeting with St. Bernard Parish Officials in D.C.
I met with St. Bernard Parish President Guy McInnis and other parish officials to discuss Hurricane Ida recovery and ongoing projects in the parish. St. Bernard Parish and its residents are resilient, and I will continue working with local leaders to ensure recovery needs are met throughout the parish.
It is an honor to represent you in Congress. For more information, please visit my website, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
