Friend,
We are one huge step closer to unrigging our tax code to make the rich and corporations start paying their fair share―so we can invest those resources in low-income communities, communities of color, seniors, children, people with disabilities, and more.
Check out my email below, which outlines the investments the Build Back Better Act will make, and how it’s paid for. Then sign the petition to the U.S. Senate to swiftly pass this historic investment package.
Last year, millions of Americans voted to give Democrats unified control of the White House and Congress to pass meaningful change NOW. No more waiting! Our country deserves real change.
Thank you for always being by my side.

Friend,
The U.S. House just took a historic vote―passing investments in our communities like never before in the United States. And this bill is 100% paid for by finally making the rich and corporations pay their fair share in taxes.
Now it’s the Senate’s turn to act!
Join me in calling on the U.S. Senate to act swiftly to pass the Build Back Better Act and send it to President Biden for his signature. Sign the petition today >>
Wondering what’s included in this historic investment package? Here’s a snapshot:
-
Our country’s first paid family and medical leave program to work towards eliminating the choice between caring for a loved one and putting food on the table;
-
Medicare negotiating prescription drug prices to save seniors money;
-
Expanded Medicare to include hearing coverage;
-
Medicaid-provided homecare to keep seniors and people with disabilities in their homes and active in their communities while also paying homecare workers a fair wage;
-
Universal Pre-k for all 3- and 4-year olds, plus affordable childcare;
-
Expanded monthly Child Tax Credit payments to 35 million U.S. households;
-
Lead pipe replacement to eliminate dangerous levels of lead in our drinking water;
-
Affordable housing including homeowner rehabilitation assistance, weatherization, improved housing accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities, housing counseling, refinancing, property tax relief, and more;
-
Immigration reform to ensure millions of Americans can fully participate in our society without fear of deportation;
-
Clean energy investments to combat climate catastrophe;
-
Public transit to increase routes and service, opening doors of opportunity for urban and rural communities alike;
-
And much, much more!
These investments are 100% paid for by closing tax loopholes abused by the rich and corporations, requiring a 15% corporate minimum tax to stop wealthy corporations from dodging their fair share of taxes, taxing firms that enrich shareholders rather than invest in workers, catching rich tax cheats that are evading $160 billion in taxes every year, creating a special higher tax rate for the ultra-wealthy, and more.
Sign the petition to the U.S. Senate: Act swiftly to pass the Build Back Better Act and invest in our communities and our future―100% paid for by finally making the rich and corporations start paying their fair share.
To be clear, this historic bill is not perfect. It required concessions in order to get conservative members of Congress on board, and there are aspects we will continue working to fix. But, it also represents the biggest shift in our country’s priorities since the Reagan era, which ushered in the tried and failed concept of trickle-down economics, enriching the wealthy at the expense of working people.
Now it’s time for millionaires and billionaires to finally start paying their fair share.
This historic legislation is thanks to you and your activism, pushing members of Congress to finally invest in low-income communities, communities of color, seniors, children, people with disabilities, and more.
Thank you for being by my side as we fight together to address historic inequities and ensure our government works for all of us.
Always serving you,
Rashida
